Guilford County Government is seeking public input on how it can best
serve the needs of residents while remaining fiscally responsible. You can
express community needs and your opinions and expectations of County
services at eight community forums to be held in each commissioner
district. Your opinions are vitally important to this process and will help
formulate the mission and vision for Guilford County. You can also take
our online community survey at www.co.guilford.nc.us.

District 8 and District 9 – Commissioners Skip Alston and Carolyn Coleman's district will me at Bethel AME Church, 200 Regan Street, Greensboro.

May 8, Tuesday – 7 p.m.-8 p.m.
District 2 and At Large Representatives – Southwest High School Auditorium,
4364 Barrow Road, High Point
District 3 – Oak Ridge Town Hall, 8315 Linville Road, Oak Ridge

May 15, Tuesday – 7 p.m.-8 p.m.
District 4 – Northeast High School Auditorium, 6700 McLeansville Road,

District 5 – Southern High School Auditorium, 5700 Drake Road, Greensboro

I will be at the Bethel AME Church next Monday night.  I need you to come out and let your voices be heard.  This is the time and place to ask the hard questions of your elected officials and your senior level County Management staff. 

I need your opinion on the proposed new County Jail, the proposed new Youth Development Center, School Funding, Minority and Women Contracts, diversity on Boards and Commissions, diversity in County hiring, Funding for Community Base Organizations, the proposed 9 cent tax increase and whatever else is on your mind.

If you can't make it to the meeting, please leave your suggestion and concerns in the comments below and I will convey them to the group during the meeting on your behalf.
